What services can you expect from a Funeral Director?
1. Over the phone information for the relatives to
discuss about how the funeral process works and
for the funeral director to tell you about what
services he/she provides and how they can help
and support you.
2. Transporting the deceased to a funeral home where
everything is well looked after.
3. Meeting with the relatives to discuess their needs
for the funeral and any other specific needs or wishes
for example, specific flowers or style of funeral.
4. Preparing the deceased for viewing before the
funeral date so that anyone who wishes to visit them
at the funeral home can do so.
5. The funeral will then be held at the venue chosen
by the relatives or recommended venue by the
Funeral Director.
6. The ceremony will take place after the funeral
and will eithier be a burial or cremation.
7. An after-service including catering will be held
in another venue that would have been organized
by the funeral director and his/her assistants.
A Funeral Director will also take care of all the legal issues and paper work.
All the above are what a funeral director does on a day to day basis however every funeral is different depending on the individual needs of the clients therefore not all of the above are included in every funeral.
